18 Weeks

I am very sorry that we have not updated the blog in a few weeks. Every week I tell Jason we need to update and get our 10 week ultrasound pics up, but it never happens. I’m just not a blogger. When something exciting happens, I call and text my parents and siblings. But once it’s out of my mouth, I’m not as adamant about sharing news with the rest of the world. I‘ll try to get better at this.

Here is our sweet little miracle at 10 weeks.

I did have something very exciting happen last week……I felt the baby move for the first time! (No it was not gas!) Tuesday (16 weeks 4 days) I was sitting on a bench in Wal-Mart cause I was too exhausted to continue shopping, and all of a sudden it was like a goldfish did a back flip in my lower abdomen. It was so exciting, and then I felt it 4 more times! It was even more exciting when Jason felt the baby move on Thursday (17 weeks 6 days) this week. It really is an amazing feeling, although I’m sure in a few short months when I’m getting sucker punched in the ribs I will think differently.

Well, since we will be finding out the sex of our baby in 2 weeks (October 8th, I really can’t believe it’s that close!) we decided that we would like our friends and family to participate in a poll—boy or girl? My dad suggested that we make it a true betting poll and collect a fee to participate, just a little extra cash for the baby ;). I guess we’ll spare you this time; Paypal is too much of a hassle :P.

What do you think, boy or girl?

Clark says boy. I say girl. (that way one of us will be right) :). You got great ultrasound pictures at 10 weeks. I love feeling baby move (even later). Enjoy it all!

I voted girl, but also think it would be cool for you to have the first male to carry on the family name. Win win. Too late for twin twin this time?! : )

I think boy. Don't ask me why, I cannot say...Also, in no way related to my gender prediction, your baby looks way more like a person than a hamster at ten weeks than Ella did.

I'd say girl. And you can dress girls cuter anyway. :) Here's to a healthy baby!
